El Gallito Restaurant began as a small family-owned taqueria in East Los Angeles. Founded by Maria and Carlos Corona, our restaurant was born from their passion to share authentic recipes from their hometown in Jalisco, Mexico.
For over three decades, we've been serving the community with dishes made from scratch using traditional methods and the freshest ingredients. What started as a modest eatery has grown into a beloved establishment, but our commitment to authenticity has never wavered.
Today, the second and third generations of the Corona family continue to preserve our culinary heritage while introducing innovative dishes that honor our Mexican roots.

Tender chicken smothered in our signature mole sauce made with over 20 ingredients including chocolate and chilies. Served with rice and handmade tortillas.
